While some of the issues are common and easy to be solved (unbalanced load, damaged wires, turned off water valves), others need special attention from a washing machine repair expert. Every symptom of a disturbed washer function may be caused by various reasons, so it’s a good idea to call a specialist. Soaked clothes and lack of spinning can be due to an issue with the drive motor coupling, interlock, wax motor, lid switch, worn out clutch assembly or ripped off drive belt. Excessive noise and vibration might be caused by malfunctions like: damaged shock absorbers, clogged pump or worn pump, broken pump motor, worn out drive belt, clutch or tub bearings, damper pads, damaged or loose drive pulley and worn suspension rods. If there are spots or soap on the clothes after the washing cycle is over, there might be an issue with the transmission, defective timer contact or clogged cold water valve. Washer leaks are usually caused by worn gaskets, pinched door boots, leaking pumps, loose hoses, cracked drain hoses or hot/cold water inlet lines, damaged water valves and drain pipe clogs.
