Another common problem is wrinkled clothes, but in most cases the reason is improper use of the dryer. Try
avoiding a combination of heavy and light clothes and promptly remove them from the dryer. Every symptom of
a disturbed dryer function may be caused by various reasons, so it’s a good idea to call a specialist. If
the dryer isn’t working at all, this might be a symptom of an issue with the timer, thermostat, terminal
block, start switch, power, door switch, or thermal fuse. If it starts but then stops before the clothes are
dry, this may be caused by a faulty electronic control board, bad drive motor, failed timer, or clogged
exhaust vent. If the dryer doesn’t tumble, this may indicate a problem with the belt, drum support rollers
or seized motor. If it takes too long for the clothes to get dry, probably your dryer’s lint filter needs to
be cleaned, but the complete lack of heat may be caused by burned out heating element, faulty gas coils, bad
temperature sensor, thermostat or thermistor and for gas dryers – weak or burned out ignitor or stuck burner
gas valve. Usually a dryer is noisy if some of the moving parts are worn out – blower wheel, drum support
rollers, drive pulley, belt, glides or simply the drum is cracked.
